In the hot Hawke’s Bay summer sun, poor pre-game hydration combined with sweat loss during a round of golf will lead to dehydration. Even mild dehydration is proven to impair mental and physical performance. Ensure you are well hydrated before you play by drinking 1.5 to 2 litres (6- 8 glasses) of water a day. Continue to drink water on the course, taking a bottle with you and refilling at water fountain.
